Job summary

Quiburi Mission Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benson, AZ is seeking an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing recreational services for patients within the center.

You will help develop and deliver programs to promote engagement in normal life activities, maintain patient precautions, and encourage participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, outings, religious and educational activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with coursework in recreation is desirable.
• Completion of a state-approved activity-training course is preferred but not required.
• Experience in leading recreational activities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote patient engagement.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, educational activities, and center service activities.

• Assists in the development and delivery of activity/recreational programs to promote the patients' opportunities for engaging in normal life enhancement pursuits and to increase and/or maintain functioning levels.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages patient participation in group and individual activities including arts/crafts, community outings, religious activities, intellectual/educational activities, community/center service activities, recreational activities, etc.
• Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required.
