Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Baudette, MN is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, coordinate, and execute engaging recreational and therapeutic programs for residents. You will encourage socialization, movement, and mental stimulation in a fun, safe environment.

Daily duties include leading activities, building rapport, documenting attendance, and collaborating with staff and the community to promote events and rehab activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA license within 6 months (assistance provided).
• Computer skills: Gmail, Google Sheets, Docs, Drive, PCC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and follow scheduled activities (games, exercises, crafts, discussions).
• Build rapport with participants; encourage involvement and provide one-on-one companionship.
• Keep attendance records and monitor progress/behavior; report changes to staff.
• Collaborate with community for events and promote activities.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events, decor and parties.
• Deliver daily rehab program with residents when needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Activities Assistant, you will plan, coordinate, and execute engaging recreational and therapeutic programs.

Every day, you will encourage socialization, physical movement, and mental stimulation while ensuring a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all participants.

To be successful in this role, you will work with staff and participants.

• Program Execution: Lead and follow scheduled activities, such as games, exercises, crafts and discussions


• Participant Engagement:Build rapport with participants, encourage involvement, and provide one-on-one companionship


• Documentation: Keep attendance records (PCC software) and monitor participant progress/behavior, reporting any changes to nursing or administrative staff


• Community Outreach: Collaborating with the community for events and assist in promoting events


• Assist with set up and break down of events, holiday decor and parties


• Execute daily rehab program with residents, when needed

Job Requirements Required

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate


• CNA License within 6 months (we will help obtain CNA)


• Computer skills: Google mail, spreadsheets, documents, drive, Point Click Care

Preferred

• Self motivated, high energy, empathy, creativity, and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range
