Job summary

Riverview Health and Rehab - Jefferson in Detroit, MI is seeking an entry-level Activities Aide to join our life enrichment team. You will help plan and coordinate daily activities that engage residents and enhance well-being.

You will document attendance, support residents with warmth and respect, and work with the Activities Director to maintain high-quality programs while communicating clearly with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of related experience in senior living communities preferred.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and team members.

Activities Aide

Overview

As an Activities Aide, you will join other creative individuals in the coordination of life enrichment programs on a day to day basis for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining balanced resident-centered activities and life enrichment programs under supervision of the Activities Director
• Complete appropriate records indicating resident’s attendance and participation in individual and group activities in a timely basis.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment
• Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the QA (Quality Assurance) process and essential quality service standards
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors

Qualifications
