Job summary

Ohana Pacific Health in Lihue, HI is seeking an Activities Aide to plan, coordinate, and provide activity programs for Kupuna. This part-time position focuses on observing resident responses, assisting with daily activities, and promoting independence through adaptive devices.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and TB clearance; prior long-term care experience is preferred. We offer PTO and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. / Minimum age of 18.
• One (1) year experience in long-term care or working with the elderly preferred.
• Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance (can be done in-house).

Responsibilities

• Observe (and document) resident response to activity programs and services to determine if they meet assessed needs, interests, routines and preferences of residents for all levels of functioning.
• Assist residents to maintain highest level of functioning; encourage use of adaptive devices and prosthetic devices.
• Participate in community planning related to residents' interests including assisting with personal care/hygiene.
