Job summary

Stroudsburg Post Acute Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Activities Aide to enhance residents' quality of life by planning and leading engaging activities that stimulate physical, emotional, and social well-being. You will work with the activities director to create programs aligned with residents' interests.

Responsibilities include planning activities, assisting with assessments, maintaining records, and helping with events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience preferred; willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.

• Collaborate with the activities director to develop and implement a comprehensive activities program.
• Assist with resident assessments to identify interests, abilities, and preferences, and implement activities accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance, participation, and feedback from residents and staff.
• Assist with daily living activities, such as escorting residents to activities, meals, and appointments.
• Support the activities staff in planning and implementing special events, such as birthday celebrations and holiday parties.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
