Job summary

Riverview Health Group in Detroit is seeking an Activities Aide to support daily life enrichment programs for residents. You will work with the Activities Director to plan engaging activities and monitor participation, ensuring a warm and respectful environment.

As an Activities Aide, you’ll maintain accurate records, support QA processes, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff while promoting dignity and comfort in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year related experience preferred in senior living.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Overview

As an Activities Aide, you will join other creative individuals in the coordination of life enrichment programs on a day to day basis for our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining balanced resident-centered activities and life enrichment programs under supervision of the Activities Director
• Complete appropriate records indicating resident’s attendance and participation in individual and group activities in a timely basis.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment
• Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the QA (Quality Assurance) process and essential quality service standards
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors
