Job summary

Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a compassionate Activities Aid to enrich the lives of residents through planned recreational programs and activities. You will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing activities designed to promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being in a warm, welcoming setting.

You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, engaging experiences, while respecting each resident's needs and preferences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0 years of experience in healthcare or recreational setting; prior experience in activities, social services, or related fields a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to adapt to diverse personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a variety of activities, such as arts and crafts, games, bingo, trivia, and other activities tailored to residents.
• Facilitate socialization and interaction among residents, including group activities, one-on-one interactions, and special events.
• Monitor residents' engagement and participation, reporting any changes or concerns to the Activities Director.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for activities, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and in good condition.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Nursing and Therapy, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care and rehabilitation.
