ACTIVE: Real Estate Attorney – Associate/Counsel/Jr. Partner Opportunity – Am Law 100 Firm

About the Position:
We are working with a dynamic and growth focused Am Law firm that has an immediate need for a real estate attorney (6+ yrs experience) to join its Chicago office as an associate, counsel, or junior partner (no business required). This Chambers-ranked real estate group is a core practice of the firm and handles all aspects of real estate deals, from acquisition through development, debt and equity financing, leasing and disposition. This is a first generation firm with a strong commitment to its collegial and entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities:
· Assist with a range of legal services throughout the life cycle of real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisition, disposition, development, and finance
· Draft and negotiate real estate agreements, closing documents and post-closing development documents

Required Qualifications:
· 6 or more years of transactional real estate experience, including real estate finance law
· Experience with a wide variety of real estate agreements including purchase and sale, leasing, property management, and development agreements
· Joint venture experience preferred
· Borrower side financing and fund experience preferred
· Large law firm experience
· Strong academic credentials as well as writing and communication skills
· No portable business is required for candidates joining at the junior partner level

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position starts at $200,000
