Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Courtesy Clerk to support customers in-store, keep aisles tidy, and help with shopping flow. This hourly role emphasizes friendly service, clean facilities, and teamwork to ensure a welcoming shopping experience.

Night and weekend shifts are required. Training will be provided; you’ll assist with bagging, merchandise stocking, and helping customers with their purchases throughout the store.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required; training will be provided.
• The role centers on friendly customer service, store cleanliness and assisting customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and learning their names.
• Package customer purchases and assist in transporting them to vehicles.
• Stock, face, rotate merchandise and keep shelves neat and organized.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break room, and floors; sweep and mop as needed.
• Shovel, salt, and sand walkways when required.
• Work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a positive environment.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed and take on special projects.
