Job summary

Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center seeks an ACT Therapist to join its Assertive Community Treatment team, providing individual, group, and family therapy in office and community settings for individuals with serious mental illness.

You will conduct assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services, crisis intervention, and recovery goals, with thorough documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human services field required.
• Active professional licensure is preferred.
• One year of counseling/clinical experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or providing community-based behavioral health services is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, therapeutic, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability and willingness to provide services in community-based settings.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions.
• Conducts clinical assessments and develops individualized, person-centered treatment plans.
• Provides therapeutic interventions in office and community-based settings as appropriate to consumer needs.
• Works collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary ACT team to coordinate comprehensive behavioral health services.
• Provides crisis intervention, clinical support, and assistance with symptom management and recovery goals.
• Collaborates with families, healthcare providers, community agencies, and other supports involved in consumer care.
• Completes required clinical documentation, referrals, treatment updates, and program reporting accurately and timely.
• Participates in ACT team meetings, clinical supervision, required trainings, and professional development.
