Job summary
Network180 seeks an ACT Peer Support Specialist to help individuals access mental health services and navigate recovery. You will model coping skills and support their engagement with treatment within the Assertive Community Treatment team.
Position is 40 hours weekly, primarily weekdays, in-person in Grand Rapids, MI, with daily local travel and potential evenings or weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires HS diploma or GED and ability to obtain Peer Support Certification within one year.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
- Experience or ability to support individuals with mental health needs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Ability to work across diverse communities and bridging language/cultural gaps.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in understanding and using mental health and substance use services.
- Model recovery concepts and demonstrate coping skills.
- Work in the ACT department and travel daily within the community.
