Job summary

La Clinica de Familia Inc seeks a Peer Support worker to provide services to members with behavioral health issues and chronic illnesses. You will advocate for consumers, share information, and assist in their recovery journey.

Responsibilities include applying new skills, maintaining effective patient relationships, and communicating clearly with team members. A GED or high school diploma and NM peer certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED
• State certification as a Certified Peer Specialist (NM)
• Experience using Electronic Health Records helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support services to members with behavioral health issues, psychiatric disorders, drug/alcohol dependence, and physical illnesses.
• Act as a consumer advocate, provide information and support for consumers, and assist in recovery processes.
• Learn and apply new skills; adapt approaches to individual needs and circumstances.
• Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with patients and coworkers.
