Job summary

The Daily Grace Co. is seeking an Acquisitions Editor to identify, evaluate, and acquire Bible studies, trade books, and theological resources that align with our mission and publishing strategy.

You will collaborate with editorial, marketing, and design teams to ensure acquisitions meet editorial and market standards, negotiate contracts, and guide proposals from submission to acquisition. A strong theological background and proven signing experience are essential, with 1-3 years in publishing

• Strong editorial judgment and ability to assess market potential for Christian publishing.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and acquire Bible studies, trade books, and theological resources that fit mission and market standards.
• Negotiate contracts and manage author agreements in collaboration with the Director of Acquisitions.
• Prepare acquisition recommendations and market/financial assessments for leadership review.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and design teams to ensure smooth handoffs and successful project launches.
• Monitor market trends to inform future acquisitions and maintain a robust acquisitions pipeline.
