About the Role
State Farm is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to help drive growth by identifying, attracting, and converting new opportunities that support customer acquisition and/or partner acquisition initiatives. This role uses data, customer insights, and structured outreach to meet performance goals and improve acquisition funnel efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new acquisition opportunities using targeted strategies and approved channels.
- Coordinate lead generation and outreach efforts (campaigns, referrals, community engagement, networking, and follow-up).
- Convert leads/opportunities into qualified prospects using strong communication and relationship-building.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM systems, including activity tracking, lead stages, notes, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, underwriting/processing as applicable) to ensure smooth handoffs and timely follow-through.
- Monitor acquisition performance metrics and report results (conversion rates, cost per lead, pipeline velocity, meeting booked rate, etc.).
- Continuously improve acquisition processes by testing strategies, refining messaging, and addressing drop-off points.
- Ensure all activities comply with State Farm policies and applicable regulations/industry standards.
- Support special projects and campaigns as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer acquisition, marketing, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and basic reporting/analytics (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Excel/Google Sheets).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and track progress against measurable goals.
- Comfort working with targets/KPIs and using data to drive decisions.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of sales funnels, lead nurturing, and conversion processes.
- Experience running or supporting campaigns (email, calling, direct outreach, events, digital ads).
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding revenue or growth targets.
