Job summary

SciTech Services, Inc. seeks an Acquisition Specialist to provide program analyses support to the US Navy. The role covers program management, technical and business case analyses, and preparation of acquisition documents to ensure compliant program execution.

Required are a Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline and 3–10 years of acquisition experience, plus strong communication and organizational skills. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, and prepare operation manuals.
• Draft program milestone documentation to ensure compliance with DoD directives.
• Develop acquisition documentation such as APs, ASR, PID, SOW, funding documents, contracts, and APBAs.
• Assess program procedures for compliance with specifications and mission requirements.
• Attend and prepare briefs, point papers, reports, and meetings.
• Utilize business and technical methods to support acquisition and life cycle management.
• Participate in IPTs and program reviews.

SciTech Services, Inc. (SciTech) is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to provide program analyses support to the US Navy. The Acquisition Specialist will perform program management, technical or business case analyses. The candidate will demonstrate professional experience in technical efforts supporting science and technology, preferably for the US Navy.

Duties include but are not limited to

• Conduct organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, conduct work simplification and measurement studies, and prepare operations and procedure manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively.
• Draft program milestone related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.
• Develop program acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans (APs), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Procurement Initiation Document (PID), Statement of Work (SOW), funding documents, contract awards, agreements, and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
• Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
• Attend, participate, support, analyze, provide input, develop, prepare and report on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
• Utilize business and technical methodologies to provide support for hardware, software and service acquisition and life cycle management.
• Participate in meetings and support specified Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline.
• Three (3) to ten (10) years of experience performing Acquisition Specialist work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, positive attitude.
• Outstanding organizational skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and perform duties with changing priorities and under time constraints.
