Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Agile Weapons Division ARRW program. The role focuses on materials engineering for warheads, testing, and processes across the product life cycle.

Responsibilities include design, qualification, and testing of warheads, material selection, and CM/documentation, with a requirement for DoD program experience and active security clearances.

Qualifications

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Current Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 10 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments.
  • Experience supporting system development, integration, and/or sustainment activities.

  • Assist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.
  • Support penetration modeling, fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work per MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-2105C.
  • Provide materials engineering support, including identifying suitable materials, advising on material composition and processing, and developing or improving fabrication and processing techniques.
  • Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to developing or revising inspection techniques, specification standards, and maintenance procedures across the product life cycle.
  • Risk management and technical problem-solving.
  • Configuration management and technical documentation.

Job description

DCS has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer supporting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Agile Weapons Division ARRW program (AFLCMC/EBX ARRW).This position provides the knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver weapons systems engineering capabilities in support of the acquisition process.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.

Support penetration modeling (such as Penetration Curve/PENCURV), fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work in accordance with MIL‑STD‑810G and MIL‑STD‑2105C.

Provide materials engineering support, including identifying suitable materials, advising on material composition and processing, and developing or improving fabrication and processing techniques.

Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to developing or revising inspection techniques, specification standards, and maintenance procedures across the product life cycle.

Risk management and technical problem-solving.

Configuration management and technical documentation.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, US Citizenship is required.

Current Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

Current Top Secret clearance.

Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems).

Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series.
