Job summary

DCS seeks a Senior Acquisition Program Materials Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Agile Weapons Division ARRW program. This role delivers materials and systems engineering expertise across design, testing, and integration for warhead components and munitions.

Ideal candidates hold DoD program experience, a related degree, and the ability to manage risk, configurations, and technical documentation through the product life cycle, with current clearance requirements

Qualifications

Requires U.S. citizenship and active security clearances.
Experience with DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments.
Experience with system development, integration, and sustainment activities.

Responsibilities

Assist with design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.
Support penetration modeling, fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work per MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-2105C.
Provide materials engineering support, including selecting materials, advising on composition and processing, and developing fabrication techniques.
Perform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to inspection techniques and standards across the life cycle.
Engage in risk management and technical problem solving; maintain configuration management and documentation.
