Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a Product Manager II on the Commerce team to own the acquisition experimentation program across paywalls and shop pages, impacting conversion to order for WSJ, Barron's, MarketWatch, and more.

You will lead full lifecycle experiments, design tests, analyze results, and coordinate a large cross‑functional forum with marketing, engineering, design, data science, and subscription strategy to translate insights into the next set of tests.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience, focused on subscription acquisition, e‑commerce, or growth/experimentation products.
  • Strong experimentation and analytical skills; ability to design and run tests and translate results into decisions.
  • Ability to work independently on large, complex initiatives with limited supervision.
  • Data-driven mindset; translate product and competitive data into testable hypotheses.
  • Knowledge of AI tools to improve quality and velocity of work; familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, and Glean is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the acquisition A/B testing program: build and prioritize the test roadmap across paywalls and shop pages, design experiments, and drive improvements in conversion to order.
  • Act as the acquisition experimentation subject matter expert, setting the standard for test design and statistical rigor.
  • Run the recurring experimentation forum, coordinating a large cross‑functional stakeholder group.
  • Independently manage the full lifecycle of initiatives from hypothesis through analysis, rollout, and learnings.
  • Scope opportunities quickly, pull and analyze data, build a case, and drive decisions with limited oversight.
  • Partner with marketing, engineering, design, data science, and subscription strategy to ship work and translate results into next tests.
  • Share results and metrics clearly with the wider team and stakeholders.
