Job description

Vice President, Head of Recruiting - Bullpen

Bullpen, on behalf of our client, is recruiting an Associate to join a private real estate investment platform headquartered in New York.

This group is a family-owned investment firm that has rapidly scaled its multifamily portfolio and is now expanding its GP platform. The team invests nationally across both LP and GP strategies—participating as a joint venture equity partner on new developments and acquisitions, while also taking direct ownership positions in select value‑add and core assets. Their focus is on disciplined underwriting, hands‑on asset performance management, and long‑term growth in high‑quality markets across the Southeast and Mid‑Atlantic.

As an Associate, you’ll play a key role in the full investment lifecycle—from underwriting and diligence through closing, monitoring, and eventual disposition. You’ll work closely with the firm’s senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to evaluate new deals, manage financial models, coordinate third‑party consultants, and support ongoing asset and portfolio strategy. The position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact as the company continues to institutionalize its investment processes and scale its holdings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research, financial analysis, and full underwriting for new investment opportunities across both GP and LP platforms.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing deal documents, business plans, and closing materials.
  • Support due diligence, third‑party coordination, and transaction management from start to finish.
  • Monitor post‑closing performance and collaborate with the asset management team to track and analyze operating results.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives, process improvement, and portfolio‑level reporting.
  • Partner with senior leadership on capital markets efforts and disposition evaluations.
Ideal Candidate
  • 4–7 years of experience in real estate investment, development, or private equity.
  • Strong underwriting and financial modeling skills with a deep understanding of multifamily assets.
  • Comfortable managing multiple workstreams and coordinating across teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with an analytical, detail‑oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools like RealPage, AxioMetrics, or similar is a plus.
