Job summary

Jefferson Health in Philadelphia is seeking a Clinical Pastoral Educator to manage accreditation for the ACPE-affiliated CPE program at Albert Einstein Medical Center. You will supervise chaplains and residents, recruit and educate students, and coordinate scheduling while maintaining accreditation records.

Qualifications

• ACPE Certification as an Educator.
• Master’s Degree in a related field is required.
• Certified Chaplain with APC or equivalent preferred.
• Experience developing, supervising and managing an accredited CPE program.
• Knowledge of major faith groups, pastoral theology, loss and crisis theory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accreditation activities for the Jefferson Einstein CPE program with ACPE.
• Supervise contractor and staff chaplains and CPE residents.
• Create monthly on-call schedules and recruit, screen, interview, and evaluate students.
• Maintain records and prepare for accreditation reviews (remote and on-site).
• Teach and facilitate spiritual care planning and resident education.
• Coordinate chaplain coverage and collaborate with senior chaplains and department staff.
• Assist with administrative tasks for Spiritual Care Services as needed.
• Support staff and residents in providing spiritual care to patients and families.
