ICI Services Corporation, a 100% employee-owned company, seeks an Acoustics Engineer to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. The role focuses on naval acoustic design, integration, and compliance with government specifications.

You will support design, integration, and production-level engineering of ship design products, including radiated noise, foundation and isolation mounts, rafting, and mitigation solutions. Travel up to 25% and require DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 7+ years of DoD/Navy/federal experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, and technical documentation.
• Experience with quiet platforms and distributed systems integration.
• Familiarity with US Navy systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Support ship design engineering per Government System Specification and ABS requirements.
• Provide integration support for vessel radiated noise, foundations, isolation mounts, rafting, and mitigation solutions.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop technical solutions for mission needs.
• Develop and review engineering documentation, technical reports, and system specifications.
• Coordinate design with government stakeholders, program offices, shipyards, and technical teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and system assessments.
• Contribute to improving shipbuilding processes for quality and cost-efficiency.

Security Clearance:

• Applicant must hold or be able to obtain an active Department of Defense (DoD)SECRETpersonnel security clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support development, design, integration, and production level engineering of ship design products in accordance with Government System Specification and ABS requirements.
• Provide integration support for the vessel’s radiated noise requirements, including the development of foundation and isolation mount design, rafting, and support of mitigation and material solutions.
• Personnel shall have demonstrated history of working on quiet platforms and integrating solutions into distributed systems design and interfaces.
• Analyze operational requirements and develop technical solutions supporting mission needs.
• Develop and review engineering documentation, technical reports, and system specifications.
• Coordinate technical design with government stakeholders, program offices, shipyards, and technical teams.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and system assessments.
• Take part in the evaluation and improvement of shipbuilding processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost-effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• 7+ years of experience supporting DoD, Navy, or federal government programs.
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles, requirements management, and technical documentation development.
• Demonstrated history of working on quiet platforms and integrating solutions into distributed systems design and interfaces.
• Experience supporting acquisition, sustainment, modernization, or integration efforts for military systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with US Navy systems.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to perform job duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting Commercial Ship Building programs, Military Sealift Command Shipbuilding programs, or Coast Guard ship building programs
• Experience with CAD software programs.
• Experience supporting shipyards.
