M.L. McDonald Sales Company, LLC in Watertown, MA is seeking an experienced Acoustical Ceiling Estimator & Project Manager to lead bidding and oversee projects from takeoff through completion.

The role requires familiarity with the Boston union market, hands-on estimating, strong vendor coordination, and close collaboration with leadership, GC's, and field teams to deliver on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction estimating and project management experience.
• Experience in the Boston union construction market preferred.
• Acoustical Ceiling experience preferred.
• Filed sub-bid experience.
• Experience performing construction takeoffs and pricing.
• Experience with OST/QB or BuzzBid estimating software.
• Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum ERP preferred.
• Experience with Procore and project management software.
• A professional and relationship-based approach to working with project partners.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, takeoffs, and pricing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, drawings, addenda and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs for acoustical ceiling projects.
• Prepare accurate project estimates, pricing, and professional proposals.
• Review bid opportunities and participate in the sub-bid process.
• Obtain and coordinate material pricing from vendors and suppliers.
• Identify potential scope issues, exclusions, and opportunities during the estimating process.
• Manage projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare, track, and manage submittals, project documentation, and other project requirements.
• Assist with change orders, project pricing, and other project-related documentation.
• Work closely with field teams to coordinate materials, schedules, and project requirements.
• Monitor project process and help identify and resolve issues as they arise.
• Maintain organized and accurate project records.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, customers, vendors, and other industry partners.
• Communicate regularly with customers and project teams throughout the life of the project.
• Support sales and business development efforts within the Acoustical Ceiling / Tate Global Division.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing relationships and develop new business.
• Represent M.L. McDonald professionally and contribute to the company's reputation within the industry.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Acoustical Ceiling Estimator & Project Manager to join our team in Watertown, MA.

This is an in-office position responsible for estimating, bidding, sales, and project management within our Acoustical Ceiling Division. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Boston union market and be comfortable managing projects from the initial takeoff and bid through project completion.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with company leadership, general contractors, vendors, and our field teams while developing long-term relationships within the Boston union construction market.

Key Responsibilities
