Job summary

MACOM is seeking an Acoustic Wave Device Modeling and Design Intern to work within the Advanced Filter Development Team. The 12-week internship provides mentorship, a defined project in acoustic wave filter device physics modeling, and opportunities for hands-on design, fabrication, and characterization.

Interns will gain hands-on experience, attend webinar series, and present at a poster session, with formal feedback provided throughout the program.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a Bachelor's student in EE, Applied Physics, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering, at least 3rd year.
  • Preferred: PhD student in Electrical Engineering with microfabrication background.
  • Familiar with multi-physics finite element modeling and RF characterization.
  • Hands-on experience with semiconductor microfabrication processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work on an individual, well-defined project related to acoustic wave filter device physics modeling (equivalent circuits, FEM).
  • Contribute to acoustic wave filter design, microfabrication, process development or device characterization.
  • Attend intern webinars and poster sessions to present project progress.
  • Receive formal feedback and mentorship throughout the 12-week internship.
