Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an NVH Component Design & Release Engineer to design, release, and verify NVH acoustic components across vehicle programs. This role spans from initial design through vehicle launch, supporting development and validation of NVH parts such as seals, silencers, and interior/exterior treatments.

The successful candidate will lead DFMEA/DVP&R updates, coordinate test activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring performance

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of automotive experience in interior/exterior design and component releasing.
• Experience releasing NVH acoustic treatments, hard trim, or plastic components.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, and mold flow virtual validation tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and release NVH components, including acoustic treatments, seals, silencers, and barrier materials.
• Ensure NVH component systems meet overall vehicle acoustic and performance objectives.
• Serve as the regional single point of contact for NVH component validation.
• Plan and coordinate test activities, including laboratory scheduling, test buck ordering, and vehicle logistics.
• Investigate and resolve test issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams during launch and production phases.
• Support the development of technical specifications and testing standards, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices.
• Lead updates to DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DVP&R (Design Validation Plan and Report).
• Troubleshoot validation failures and define corrective actions in coordination with engineering teams and suppliers.
• Execute component validation testing and support vehicle launch activities.
• Benchmark competitive NVH components by vehicle platform and functional application.
