Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs (MERL) offers an internship focused on audio data collection, acoustic measurement, and immersive audio systems. You will collaborate with MERL researchers to design experiments, record room impulse responses, configure multichannel recording/playback systems, and develop data acquisition tools.

Ideal candidates are undergrad or grad students with hands-on audio experience. Flexible 3–6 month, full-time or part-time, with relocation stipend and travel coverage.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate student in relevant field.
Experience in audio signal processing and acoustic measurements.
Hands-on experience with recording equipment and experimental setups.
Familiarity with multichannel audio systems and Dante networking.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct acoustic measurement experiments.
Record room impulse responses.
Configure multichannel audio recording and playback systems.
Develop tools for data acquisition and analysis.
Support research in spatial audio processing and room acoustics.
