Job summary

Peraton is seeking experienced Acoustic Analysts to support the US Navy's Office of Naval Intelligence in Suitland, MD. The role involves screening and analyzing recorded acoustic data to identify signals of interest and contribute to undersea warfare intelligence.

The candidate will develop acoustic tracks and signatures, apply environmental data to analyses, and document findings for briefings and technical papers. A TS/SCI clearance is required to qualify for this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in acoustic data screening of threat targets and development of tracks using acoustic data.
• Understanding of platform signature analysis and methods for technical measurements.
• Background as submarine sonar technician, IUSS analyst, or air ASW analyst.
• Requires a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze acoustic data sets to derive qualitative and quantitative measurements from recorded acoustic data.
• Perform Acoustic Intelligence screening to develop tracks and signatures using environmental data.
• Manipulate hardware/software configurations to read data from multiple sources.
• Document analyses in presentations, briefings, or technical papers.
