Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks an Acoustic Engineer to support the Navy’s Virginia-class submarine programs. The role involves coordinating with PMS450, reviewing technical submittals, and leading acoustic-related program reviews.

You will engage with NAVSEA and the customer, delivering briefing materials and managing program milestones. This position requires an active security clearance and citizenship, with a strong background in engineering and acoustics.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, physics, or related discipline with 5 years' experience.
• Excellent communications and analytical skills; able to meet with program officials and influence actions to meet milestones.
• Experience briefing senior leaders.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
• Proficient with MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support PMS450 evaluation of proposed designs and arrangements.
• Review technical submittals and provide assessments with stakeholders.
• Lead NAVSEA Ship's Silencing Working Group and conduct audits.
• Manage commitment updates/status.
• Act as liaison with PMS450 team and NAVSEA Technical Warrant Holders (TWH).
• Lead program review sessions with customer on cost, schedule and technical performance.
• Provide acquisition management planning and execution support.
• Lead technical discussions for project reviews.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
