Job summary

The Associate Chief of Staff for Specialty Care (ACOSSC) at the Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA, is a supervisory physician role responsible for comprehensive management of specialty care services.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience in the last 2 years.
• MD or DO degree from an approved medical school.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all medical services within Specialty Care and HBPC at VAWW.
• Ensure outpatient and specialty care meet local policies and national benchmarks.
• Lead credentialing, privileging, and professional standards activities as directed.
• Guide program development in medical practice, standards, and quality improvement.
• Participate in clinical executive board meetings and related reviews.
• Support telework where applicable and manage daily operations.
