Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Center is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care across units at our Sparks, NV campus. The role requires flexibility to float to all departments while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

You will collaborate with physicians, perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, and participate in evidence-based nursing practices while delivering safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current NV nursing license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Minimum two years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates supportive bedside report using IMAP & SBAR with patient.
• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts care.
• Performs head-to-toe assessments across age groups per policy.
• Uses triage to ensure timely care and assigns categories.
• Monitors cardiac rhythms and responds per ACLS protocol.
