Job summary

INB in Springfield, IL is seeking an ACH Operations Specialist for an in-office role. You will be the go-to person for ACH processing, keeping payments accurate and moving smoothly, and providing excellent support to clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include daily ACH file processing and balancing, handling incoming ACH returns, client setup and risk reviews, dispute investigations, and ACH reversals in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Banking operations or related financial services experience is preferred. Familiarity with ACH, payment processing, or deposit operation is a plus.

Qualifications

• Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for all ACH-related operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of critical processes, including:
• Daily ACH file processing and balancing
• Incoming ACH returns
• New ACH Client setup and ongoing risk reviews
• ACH dispute investigation, research, and resolution
• Processing death notifications, reclamations, and ACH reversals in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Contribute to a culture of cross-training and collaboration, supporting other operations as needed.
• Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve both routine and complex inquiries.

Education & Experience

• Banking operations or related financial services experience is preferred. Familiarity with ACH, payment processing, or deposit operation is a plus.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain processes clearly and professionally both in writing and verbally.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with basic math proficiency, including percentages, ratios, and graphs.
• Tech-savvy mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new banking systems quickly.
• Flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a focus on shared goals in a fast-changing environment.

Salary:

$50,000-$60,000 annually.

The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
