Job summary

Nationwide's Technology team is seeking a Specialist Software Engineer to advance ACE and CL ETL Batch integrations. You will work on policy transaction processing, data movement, and operational support across Commercial Lines, with a focus on secure API contracts and data transformation.

The role blends real-time integration with batch data workflows, requires experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise, Oracle IDS, and UNIX batch environments, and offers a hybrid schedule with potential office

Qualifications

Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise or similar middleware for API and data transformation.
Experience with API integrations, including token-based authentication and REST calls.
Strong data mapping across XML and JSON formats.
Experience with batch data pipelines and downstream data feeds.
Understanding of Oracle data environments and SQL troubleshooting.
Knowledge of deployment, security, and configuration for integration runtimes.
Experience supporting production incidents in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Own and enhance ACE integration solutions with instance-level support and alignment to standards.
Analyze requirements and translate them into API contracts, mappings, and error handling.
Develop and troubleshoot data mappings between PolicyCenter payloads and downstream schemas.
Support ETL workflows that process data for line-of-business and reporting outputs.
Work with IDS Oracle structures, job control metadata, and environment parameters for monitoring and reruns.
Support UNIX-based batch operations and scheduling for file handling and auditing.
