Job summary

Paradigm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance IBM App Connect Enterprise and integration platforms. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and reliable integration solutions across REST, SOAP, MQ, and Kafka ecosystems.

You will architect and implement ACE message flows, data transformations, and APIs while deploying on Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift and driving CI/CD practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years hands-on ACE.
• Working knowledge of ESQL, Java, message flows, DFDL, and data transformation.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing REST APIs and service orchestration.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, pub/sub, event-driven).
• Hands-on experience with IBM MQ, HTTP integrations, JDBC, and file-based flows.
• Experience deploying solutions on Docker, Kubernetes, or Red Hat OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD and test-driven development.
• Ability to estimate coding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Apply and contribute to integration patterns, standards, and best practices (REST, SOAP, MQ, Kafka).
• Develop ACE message flows, sub flows, and integration services.
• Implement integrations using ACE technologies (ESQL/Java) and data transforms.
• Build and secure REST/SOAP APIs and event-based integrations.
• Deploy ACE solutions on containers and cloud-native platforms.
• Lead end-to-end project delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive code quality and reviews.
