Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Numerical Control Drill Machine Operator – Floor Grid to join our team in Everett, Washington.

As a Numerical Control Drill Machine Operator specializing in floor grid structures, you will utilize advanced technology to execute machining processes, ensuring components meet quality standards. Your role involves interpreting technical specifications, inspecting parts, and collaborating with team members to optimize workflow and productivity. Position Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate numerically controlled drilling machines for hole preparation, including drilling and counter-sinking of floor grid structures.
2. Load, position, index, and secure work-holding devices and components on tables for efficient machining.
3. Inspect setups and finished parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
4. Select, check, adjust, and install various hand and power tools for machining media.
5. Use precision measuring instruments to verify work accuracy.
6. Perform mechanical tasks to support timely completion of assignments.
7. Rework components as necessary to meet quality standards.
8. Interpret blueprints, technical documents, and specifications to guide machining.
9. Coordinate with maintenance for machine repairs and malfunctions.
10. Initiate corrective actions for machine issues and faulty tools.
11. Provide information to supervision and shop personnel to facilitate workflow.

Physical Demands and Hazards

• Lift weights from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
• Engage in reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
• Work around metals, solvents, and coolants.
• Operate near moving parts, sharp cutters, and slip hazards.
• Adapt to varying noise levels and environmental conditions.
• Use personal safety gear for face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet protection.

Additional Requirements

• This position is onsite at one of the specified locations.
• Must meet Export Control requirements as a “US Person” (US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with hand-held power tools.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
• 1+ years experience with power-feed drilling, hand drilling, or similar equipment.
• Experience operating 3-axis NC/CNC machine tools.
• Knowledge of Siemens, Fanuc, or Mazatrol controllers.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.
