Job summary

The Carmel Police Department is seeking an Accreditation Manager to lead CALEA and ILEAC accreditation programs and to provide analytics and performance insights that drive operational decisions and accountability.

You will develop executive dashboards, oversee NIBRS reporting, and collaborate with command staff on strategic planning to advance accreditation standards and organizational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement administration, accreditation, data analysis, or related field, with at least three years in a law enforcement environment.
• Experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead CALEA and ILEAC accreditation programs and ensure compliance with national standards.
• Manage policy and written directive system; coordinate policy development, revisions, and documentation.
• Analyze crime trends and performance data to identify opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
• Develop executive dashboards, statistical reports, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of NIBRS reporting and other required data through audits.
• Collaborate with command staff on strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts.
