UC Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN), Accreditation Coordinator for the first shift. This position is based at the Ambulatory Center with rotating responsibilities across facilities (West Chester, UC Medical Center, and Ambulatory).

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Related Field (minimum)

Responsibilities

The Accreditation Coordinator manages efforts related to The Joint Commission and other regulatory standards, maintaining service readiness and compliance.

Compliance:

  • Interpret and evaluate compliance with standards from The Joint Commission, ODH, ODMH, and CMS.
  • Lead regulatory committees, perform gap analyses, and formulate action plans to ensure compliance.
  • Stay updated on standards, regulations, and scoring criteria.
  • Review official publications and communicate updates to management and staff.
  • Assist departments in assessing, planning, and monitoring compliance activities, including education and communication.
  • Participate in workshops to stay current on standards and regulations.
  • Review departmental policies to ensure they guide reimbursement and comply with standards.
  • Conduct patient tracers to assess readiness and ensure staff preparedness for accreditation.
  • Develop mechanisms to keep management informed about compliance status.
  • Maintain constant survey readiness and monitor communication channels for updates.

Data Management:

  • Track regulatory compliance data and generate reports for leadership.
  • Serve as an expert in AMP Software, assisting with scoring and documentation.
  • Maintain documentation related to the annual Periodic Performance Review, including non-compliance issues and action plans.
  • Provide training to system users and develop compliance reports.
  • Review survey readiness documents quarterly to ensure data accuracy.

Project Management:

  • Foster positive relationships through effective communication.
  • Apply change management principles in training and communication activities.
  • Keep management informed about project status, issues, and initiatives.
  • Act as the primary contact for stakeholders regarding internal audits and surveys.

Education:

  • Coordinate training related to regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and implement educational programs based on learning needs.
  • Apply adult learning principles in teaching and instructional design.
  • Assist in creating content for safety and regulatory information updates.
