Clark Wood are recruiting for an Accounts Semi Senior to join a respected firm of Chartered Accountants in Carlisle. You will work with a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, handling year-end accounts, VAT and bookkeeping.

This role suits an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Semi Senior or AAT qualified accountant looking to develop their career within practice, with study support and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA.
• Previous UK accountancy practice experience.
• Good accounts preparation skills.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT.

Responsibilities

• Preparing year-end accounts.
• Assisting with VAT returns.
• Bookkeeping and general accounting work.
• Supporting management accounts.
• Dealing with client queries.
• Using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Supporting senior members of the team.
