Job summary

Flagship Specialty Partners in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to act as a liaison among Insurance Companies, Patients, and our Practices. You will process and resolve claims, verify records for payment processing, and submit appeals to overturn denials while upholding HIPAA standards.

The role emphasizes detail orientation, accurate documentation in the practice management system, and collaboration with Revenue Cycle Leadership to improve claim outcomes and payment

Responsibilities

• Resolves claims submitted to Insurance Companies using portals/websites and agency contacts.
• Tracks and communicates payment and denial trends.
• Documents claim resolution activities in the practice management system with clear movement toward resolution.
• Ensures all reviewed/processed claims are in the correct account category in the system.
• Reports on the status of assigned accounts to Revenue Cycle Leadership weekly or on request.
• Completes ad hoc claim work lists as directed by Revenue Cycle Leadership.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, insurance companies, practices, providers, and patients.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and security compliance in all duties.
• Participates in Revenue Cycle Team meetings, sharing successes, barriers, and process-improvement opportunities.
