As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our hospitality group by ensuring timely and accurate processing of all accounts receivable and income transactions. This position will work closely with the CFO, finance team and clients to maintain financial health, support cash flow management, and uphold excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage all incoming payments, including credit card transactions, bank transfers, checks, and cash payments.
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts, send reminders, and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
- Reconcile guest and corporate accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in the financial system.
- Review and validate daily sales reports, billing, and invoices from all properties to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and distribute invoices to clients, corporate customers, and third-party agencies.
- Ensure Front office teams are following company credit and income processes and policies
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies and guest inquiries.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing reports, statements, and reconciliations for the Accounts Receivable ledger.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Continuously improve and optimize the accounts receivable processes, implementing best practices and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Semi qualified/ Qualified CA/ CMA
- Minimum of 5 year of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Experience with hospitality management software will be an added advantage (e.g., Opera, PMS, or similar)
- Experience of working on XERO or Quickbooks software
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, guests, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
