Job summary

Justrite Safety Group in Deerfield, IL, is seeking an AR Collections Clerk to support receivables and aging management. You will reconcile accounts, perform calls and emails daily, and coordinate with sales to resolve invoicing issues.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience, strong Excel skills, and solid written and verbal English. You’ll join a finance team dedicated to accuracy, efficiency, and timely cash flow.

Qualifications

• Associates degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years related experience.
• Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet working knowledge is required.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Monitor aging reports by reviewing the accounts receivable aging report weekly to identify overdue accounts.
• Conduct outreach and initiate professional collection emails and calls to clients regarding delinquent balances.
• Negotiate terms by managing payment plans with clients under management approval.
• Perform credit checks by evaluating and processing credit applications for new customers.
• Maintain files by keeping clean, updated digital records of client interactions, payments, and payment agreements.

What You'll Do at Justrite:

• Monitor aging reports by reviewing the accounts receivable aging report weekly to identify overdue accounts

• Reconcile receivables daily, keeping all records current and documented
• Run Accounts Receivable Aging report, contactcurrent andpast due customers and work tokeepA/Ragingcurrent
• Emailpast due invoices with proof of delivery as needed to collect payments
• Work with Sales to reconcile invoicing discrepancies and request credit memos as needed
• Process credit memos and manage deductions accordingly
• Communicate successes, needs, and challenges to Teamand Supervisor
• Work independentlyandwith teammatesto meet challenges head on
• Perform other duties asrequiredor assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

• Report all unsafe activities to Plant Manager, SafetyDirectoror Human Resources
• Be punctual and dependable
• Adhere to company policiesin regards tothe use of personal phones, headphones,anduse of the internet
• Attend department and company meetings, andparticipatein proactive team effortsto meet goals
• Comply withall safety and environmental rules,regulationsand guidelines, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements, when applicable
• Participate in cross-training withinand outside ofhome department asneeded

Your Skills and Expertise:

• Associates degreeispreferredoranequivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 or more years related experience
• Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet working knowledge isrequired
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Good reading,spellingand comprehension skills

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Good typing skills
• High attention to detail

Compensation:

The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from$22 to $25/ hour.

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
