Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc is seeking a Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist to join our Northeast Ohio team in Canton. You will apply daily cash, review receivables, and coordinate payment resolutions while communicating with customers and internal teams to keep cash flowing smoothly.

The role requires 1–3 years in cash application or accounting, strong math and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in cash application, banking and accounting.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; strong math skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Intense focus on accuracy and attention to detail; organized.
• Problem-solving skills; critical thinking.
• Outgoing and assertive personality; not afraid to approach individuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• Experience with Microsoft D365, Microsoft Great Plains, Salesforce, Prelude, American Contractor, Sage 300 or QuickBooks is preferred.

• Enlist the efforts of management when necessary to accelerate the collection process.
• Follow work process to communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels.
• Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers.
• Perform training as requested.
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Job Description

As the Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist, this role is responsible for delivering excellence in service and contributing to the mission of protecting businesses, people and time. This role will work directly with Customer Relations team to reduce delinquent accounts, coordinate payment resolution, and administer communications regarding collection issues, and ensure timely and accurate daily cash applications. The Customer Relations & Accounts Receivable Account Specialist is responsible for collaboration across all levels to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Salary Range - $50,000 - $55,000 per year
