Mark-Vii-Equipment in Arvada, CO is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to process and apply incoming payments for US and Canada customers. You will reconcile bank accounts daily, manage customer communications, and maintain accurate collection records while releasing orders from credit holds as needed.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with multiple departments to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • SAP experience is required; strong Excel and data entry skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents, contracts, and instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Apply incoming payments to customer accounts for US and Canada.

Location: Arvada, CO (On-site)Salary: $27.00 - 31.50/hourSummary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for processing and recording cash application transactions for both US and Canada customer accounts, subsequently reconciling and clearing incoming payment items on the bank accounts for both US and Canada, fielding communication with customers and team members, maintaining accurate detailed customer collection records on assigned customers, and releasing to invoice assigned pending equipment orders. This position also requires strong analytical, decision making and time management skills. The role reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager.Roles & Responsibilities:Apply Incoming payments to customer accounts, supporting our US and Canadian businesses.Reconcile and clear incoming payment bank accounts on statement daily.Receive mail, create daily desktop bank deposits, monitor checks received and sent to bank, filing the documents upon completion.Initiate fact checking research and work toward resolving customer discrepancies with other pertinent departments.Must be detailed oriented, meet strict deadlines and able to work with others to resolve issues.Contact assigned customers regarding outstanding past due balances daily, working with customers to resolve any disputed items ensuring payments are made timely.Release orders from credit hold or place accounts on credit hold based on customer account status.Other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Education & ExperienceMinimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)SAP experience is requiredExcellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must.Ability to read and comprehend documents, simple instructions, and contracts.Experience with basic office equipmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts.Ability to perform basic math functions.Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principlesAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Strong analytical skills with ability to identify opportunities.Self-learner with a desire to take on new challenges.Exhibit strong decision-making skills and the ability to grasp and communicate complex concepts quickly and efficiently.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch and use hands to grip regularly.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards as outlined.Benefits & PerksHealth & Wellness: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 24/7 virtual care and mental health support via Teladoc.
