Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced AR analyst to analyze the recording, processing, and posting of cash and to research unapplied funds within the Accounts Receivable system for Brown University Health and affiliates.

Under supervision, you will develop research methods, verify data with payers or vendors, and support internal audits. The role requires an associate degree in accounting, three years revenue cycle experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to an Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Proficient knowledge of PC, Internet and software applications.
• Three years of Full Revenue Cycle experience, including accounting and research methods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops research methodologies, procedures and tools for credit resolution and payment issues.
• Identifies cash application errors and 835 file issues that affect account balances.
• Researches missing payment information and may contact payers or vendors to verify data.
• Trains users with primary research protocols in the Practice Management System.
• Participates in audits and documents activity in unapplied cash accounts.
