Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks an Accounts Receivable Representative I to manage invoicing accuracy for low-complexity accounts under routine supervision.

You will apply charges, resolve freight payment issues, and work with customers to obtain payment status. The role emphasizes building relationships with internal teams and customers, auditing charges, and maintaining aging reports to reduce outstanding receivables.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of education, experience or training.
• Associates degree in Finance or related field preferred with 1-2 years of experience.
• Proficient computer skills and professional communication are required.
• Ability to learn new software systems quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely invoicing.
• Network and build relationships with JB Hunt employees and customers by responding to inquiries and complaints regarding accessorial billing processes, notifications, billing issues, etc. and identify root cause and solutions to issues.
• Direct the application of customer payments to outstanding invoices.
• Manage receivables to include auditing, processing balance dues, and revenue adjustments.
• Obtain and investigate missing or incomplete documentation to meet customer billing requirements.
• Reach out to customer contacts for payment status.
• Reduce outstanding accounts receivables of assigned customers.
• Set up automated aging reports.
• Audit billed charges for validity.
• Work with internal teams to improve processes, discuss action plans, and/or contractual changes, and achieve department goals.

Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for managing the efficiency and accuracy of the application of all charges for invoicing purposes for accounts with lowest complexity. Identify and resolve issues regarding freight payment with the customer, (e.g., collections, variances).

Qualifications:

Compensation:

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
