Job summary

OneOncology is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to efficiently process health insurance claims for the practice. The role reports to the A/R Manager and supports the mission of improving access to cancer care.

Responsibilities include maintaining carrier information, handling correspondence, preparing appeals, and ensuring timely project deliverables while collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of Medical Billing and insurance claim filing experience.
• Ambulatory Surgical/Procedures/Urology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing software.

• Process insurance carrier correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
• Compose and prepare documentation for appeals.
• Use resources effectively, arrange information and files in a useful manner, and meet project deadlines.
• Prepare special claim projects; maintain project work/communication logs.
• Identify non-payment trends or procedural roadblocks and report to Supervisor as needed.
• Maintain a solid balance of health insurance claims that are 35 average days outstanding.
• Research authorizations, work with providers, and manage pended claims promptly.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned to help drive our mission of improving the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Required or Preferred Qualifications
