We are currently searching for an Accounts Receivable Representative (Medical Billing) to join our Revenue Cycle team in the OrthoCarolina Business Office in Charlotte.

This position is a hybrid schedule with rotating days in the office depending on department needs.

The role of Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative with our team includes the responsibility for reviewing aging medical insurance account balances and resolving claim issues with insurance and/or patients.

Essential Functions:

1. Maintaining AR queues at a reasonable age-base date as defined by management.
2. Reviewing and appealing denied medical claims for bundling and medical coding-related issues.
3. Responsible for timely follow-up on all appeal submissions.
4. Processing corrected claims and assisting with timely turnaround for medical documentation requests.
5. Providing follow-up and feedback to management regarding assignments.

Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or GED.
2. One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
3. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.

Or Experience plus certification:

1. Three years of accounts receivable experience preferred.
2. One year of experience in a healthcare organization.
3. Working knowledge of ICD 10 required.
4. Certified Professional Coder (CPC) preferred.
