TeleTracking Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist in Pittsburgh, PA to manage delinquent accounts, perform collections outreach, and maintain accurate AR records.

The role supports the Cash Applications team and requires strong communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in collections, billing experience, and a Bachelor’s degree (or high school with relevant experience).

About the role

The Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist (The Specialist) is responsible for initiating calls to complex and difficult customers to collect payments and settle accounts. Follow up on delinquent account updates and maintain accurate financial records including accounting, receivable, and credit records. The Specialist must maintain accurate records of all customer conversations within the company's ERP along with any other internal house of record. May be responsible for ad hoc customer billing and responding to customer inquiries regarding invoice disputes.

The Specialist may also provide support to the Cash Applications team which records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization. Ensures transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in accordance with internal accounting policies. Reconciles payments with accounts receivable ledger and prepares reports of delinquent accounts.

Experience and Skills

A successful Accounts Receivable and Collections Specialist actively manages the Client accounts with little supervision and has strong interpersonal knowledge to easily connect with and influence clients to agree to collection terms. Additionally, the Specialist knows how and when to partner with internal stakeholders to leverage collections efforts.

What you will do

Collections (70%)

• Achieve assigned collection goals.
• Contacts customers via phone on status of current and past due invoices.
• Prepare and send collection emails/letters.
• Updates CRM software on all customer communications.

Accounts Receivable (20%)

• Partners with and provides updates to internal stakeholders on top Past Due accounts to completes Monthly & Quarterly AR allowance.
• Develop and Maintain processes and procedures surrounding the monthly cash forecasting process.
• Actively seeks out opportunities to improve and streamline department processes to reduce Accounts Receivables.

Other duties as assigned (10%)

• Provides Ad hoc reporting as required.
• Maintains and develops clear work instructions for assigned duties and trains incumbents in those areas.

What we look for

• 3 to 5 years of collections experience. (Required)
• Prior billing experience. (Preferred)
• Accounts Receivable experience. (Preferred)
