The Account Receivable position is responsible for handling all correspondence related to insurance or patient accounts, contacting insurance carriers, patients, and other facilities as needed to maximize payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability.

You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Follow up on outstanding A/R for all payers and/or including resolution of denials.
  2. Responsible for working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits, and rejection reports.
  3. Research and resolve accounts appearing on Delinquent Insurance Report, Collection Ledger, and Government Payor report as directed by management, making appropriate decisions on accounts to maximize reimbursement.

Required Qualifications
  • 1+ years of Accounts Receivable Follow-up experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Billing System experience.
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
