Job summary

Ace Imagewear in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative to manage all AR functions, track assigned accounts, and pursue outstanding payments by phone and email.

Responsibilities include negotiating payment plans, investigating discrepancies, maintaining customer relationships, updating databases, and reporting to supervisors. The role also covers basic office duties and cross-training with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year office experience.
• Minimum one year customer service experience.
• Minimum one year accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or other accounting experience.

• Manage accounts receivable functions and track assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
• Contact debtors via phone and email to determine payment status and negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues while maintaining good customer relationships.
• Update account status and database regularly; alert supervisors of non-paying customers.
• Perform basic office duties and cross-train with other office personnel.

Job description

Ace Imagewear is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative. Responsibilities include all accounts receivable related functions, including keeping track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts; planning course of action to recover outstanding payments; heavy phone activity with customers; locating and contacting debtors regarding payment status; negotiating payoff deadlines or payment plans; handling questions or complaints; investigating and resolving discrepancies; establishing good relationships with customers; updating account status and database regularly; alerting supervisors of customers unwilling or unable to pay outstanding amounts; complying with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.

Other duties include basic office functions, such as filing, placing orders, answering phones, cross-training with other office personnel.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

• Minimum one year office experience
• Minimum one year customer service experience
• Minimum one year accounts receivable, accounts payable and/or other accounting experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, QuickBooks, Word, Outlook) and intranet/internet

Preferred

• Experience performing various business tasks, including data entry, creating invoices, creating spreadsheets, communicating invoice issues to management and resolving customer invoicing problems
