Job summary

Allied Beverage Group in Elizabeth, NJ, a major wine and spirits distributor, is hiring a Credit Clerk to apply payments to retailer AR and work with Credit Agents to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires clerical experience, strong PC and math skills, and proficiency with System I (AS/400); starting wage $20 per hour plus benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Clerical experience; banking/AR preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong math and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem solve and complete assessment tests.

Responsibilities

• Enter checks into AR using System I (AS/400).
• Research discrepancies in check remittance and notify customer and credit agent with proper paperwork.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide information to customers, drivers, and sales personnel as requested.
• Monitor ATM deposits and process applications via ATM email inbox.
• Process and enter new credit applications into System I.
• Review special instructions on checks for compliance and note System I.
• Input data into System I regarding AR adjustments.
• Monitor a Credit email inbox.
• Check scanning to Cash Pro for clerk’s individual batches.
• Review daily term changes and input data.
