SNH Strategic Partners is growing—and so are our portfolio companies. One of them, Universal Background Screening (UBS), is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and people-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their accounting team in San Juan.

UBS provides industry-leading background screening, drug testing, and occupational health services to safety-sensitive employers across the U.S. Their San Juan office is critical to their national operations—and this role will help ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient accounting workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage B2B collections and follow-up with clients
• Process payments and maintain AR records (Record and reconcile payments received from customers.)
• Investigate and resolve billing issues (Resolve disputes and negotiate payment plans or settlements with customers in a professional and tactful manner.)
• Prepare reports and support monthly closing.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and internal teams.
• Help us deliver service excellence with accuracy and care.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Contact customers for payment reminders.
• Ensure compliance with credit and collection policies and legal requirements.
• Send monthly account statements to customers and provide invoices per customer request.
• Maintain accurate records of communications and payments.
• Work closely with management to initiate legal actions or engage collection agencies, as necessary.
• Identify uncollectible accounts and make recommendations for write-offs.
• Provide analysis and insights on receivable trends and aging.
• Ensure documentation complies with auditing standards and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with other departments such as Sales and Finance

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience(Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.)
• 2+ years in B2B collections and AR
• Experience with general ledger systems
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
